At first, despite pieces falling off (not because of lack of glue - or should I say SUPER GLUE which I used exclusively, there was enough of it to glue myself to the ceiling - navigator's table got lost somehow after fuselage halves were glued together, piece of canopy was damaged just after whole fuselage painting, piece of clear plastic pretending to be escape exit got separated as well, with no possibilities for re-assembly, landing gear was could not be fitted problerly what was a trigger point for whatever followed) I tried to carry on as I don't like leaving unfinished projects, but the more I built, the more strange things were happening (what is the reason for subtitle of this post). It was entirely NOT enjoyable project for me, which defeated me in the end...
It ended up smashed on the floor with bits of plastic flying in all directions, with my Better Half looking at the situation with astonishment (sometimes there is no other way to get rid of that little troll making everything so daunting!). At the moment I feel somehow relieved it's over... I will remember this lesson and not to try any other Lancaster models in nearest future! Have to admit though, Dambuster Lancaster from Airfix looks very nice, with crisp & sharp detail...Maybe one day, I will approach it again for a re-match. Maybe better not.
