Main part of the model is finally finished. All details are in proper places: fuel cans, rear view mirrors, lights, tools, shovels, bumper, spare wheel, metal loops, opened visors and wheels.
I have finally reached turret stage of the assembly. Turret is to contain miniature of the cannon, sits of the crew and opened hatches. I made carcass already, and here was small surprise. Turret's side wall panels are too short against top and bottom panels, by around 1 - 1,5mm. It does not cause big problem, proper size and shape of the structure will be kept after all. There may a small draft between sides and back inside, should be not visible after painting it over.
In case of making turret's interior I had to plan in what order to build. First I prepared carcass with color panels fixed on the inside. Model of the cannon is quite long, goes through almost whole length of turret, so to fit it I will have to wait with assembly of back wall until cannon is ready, then more details will be added on the interior. Cannon itself is pretty interesting, as it comes in few parts. The barrel which is a small diameter tube to simulate small caliber, inner pin (white tube sticking out of gray one), shell chamber and lock. All being rolled out of office paper. Connecting pin (which is a tube in a tube) allows to remove barrel temporarily and fit it back when all mounted in turret.
